Vadim Kosyanov, Rector

Vadim A. Kosyanov graduated from Sergo Ordzhonikidze Moscow State Geological Prospecting University in 2002 with a degree in “Engineering and technology of mineral deposits exploration”. In December 2006, he graduated from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics with a degree in Economics, Finance and Credit.
He started his career at the Moscow State Geological Prospecting Academy in 2000 as an engineer of the Distance Learning Centre. Since 2002 he worked as lecturer, associate Professor, head of the Editorial and Publishing Department, Deputy Dean of the Technology of Exploration and Development of Mineral Deposits Faculty, Deputy Director of the Distance Learning Centre, head of “Mechanization, automation and energy of mining and exploration” Department, Vice-rector for research, production and innovation, Vice-rector for international and innovative activities.
The scientific degree – Doctor of technical Sciences was awarded by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in 2011.
In 2012 he was working on the reorganization of I.I.Malyshev Stary-Oskol Geological Prospecting College and its accession as a branch to Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State University for Geological Prospecting.
– Full member of the Academy of Mining Sciences (2013); – A member of the NTS RTN (2015); – Member of the Supreme Mining Council of “Miners of Russia” (2018); – academician of the Eurasian Academy of Mining Sciences (2019).
In 2018 Vadim Kosyanov became Rector of Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State University for Geological Prospecting (MGRI).
